Director explains and apologizes for using term negro on 2010 Census

I give the woman in the beginning of the video a lot of credit for calling in and giving the director a piece of her mind. The racial and ethnic classifications on the census have, in my opinion, become so confusing that nobody really fits anywhere. After all, I’m a lazy blind — or is that a person of sightlessness — person, which box do I check?

On a totally unrelated note, I find it amazing that in this age of digital everything, the census still can’t be completed online. I mean it’s just a form after all, how hard can this be to create?
