GV Connect, only one of the coolest Dashboard widgets out there

If you’re a Mac user and use Google Voice, the GV Connect widget is a must have. Using the widget, it’s possible to place calls, send SMS messages, view balance, be notified of left voicemails/SMS messages — all accessibly and right from your Mac’s Dashboard. Not only that, but as the widget’s “donation ware,” you get to choose how much, if anything, you’ll pay for it. For me, this is the best widget I’ve come across in quite a while.
